for any one that has Sprague wipers on their bus here are some part # that you might like to have if you want to add intermittent wipers the electric control sprague AIR_PUSH #k-104-2-12 77a i do not know what the 77a means as it is scratched on by some one sprague air controller #k105-12 this is that part that is mounted to the wiper motor the other part is the electric control of this part. hope this helps those that think they have to go to electic wipers to have an intermittent feature for thier wipers.. your local parts store can order them in for you. the company is located at Michigan city, IN. |

The system works well, but does add to the noise level of air wipers. Nothing more than a rheostat controlling a pair of small solenoids. I have the system on my Neoplan and have secured a set of electrics for a future upgrade. |

you have the last word spelled wrong, it is a down grade to put electric in to replace air.people think because they have electic in their cars and pick up trucks that that is the best system as they use them all the time.electic wiper have been around for a very long timeyet all the big trucks, buses and heavy eq. use air and the orerators sure prefer air over the other. try driving in cold weather when you cannot get enough heat to complely defrost the windshield and you are in freezing rain, you will sure change back to air, as when you have the wipers stop and you smell smoke , then you know that you have to stop and scrap the windshield. but then it is your unit and be sure you do it your way. |

Sorry Mel, I have too disagree with that statement.. I haven't seen air wiper's in a hwy tractor for over ten years....I believe Mack was one of the last to change over. All the truckers I talk to hate air wipers as much as I do..oh yea the new Prevo's and MCI's are electric too. Have you got any snow on the Van Island yet? Ron |

No Mel, I spelled it correctly. If ure defroster won't de-fog your windshield, then fix the defroster; don't blame the windshield wipers. I also do not and will not drive in sleet, freezing rain, or heavy snowfall; the bus has a very comfortable bed for such occasions. |
