I asked this a couple days ago but should have been more specific. I would like to put a smaller steering wheel on my 66 MCI5A but can not figure out how to remove the horn cap without actually just breaking it. I have tried turning it and prying but just doesn't seem to want to do anything. anyone know for sure how they are suppose to come off.Thx Ben |

I have a 67 MCI5A. Just after reading your post I went to my steering wheel and lifted off the cap. It is held in place by three plastic "lips" against a metal ring. So....the answer is YES, you just pry it off, at least mine did. It just might be eaiser to pull up on the cap while turning either right or left, the way its made there is nothing to break while doing this. |

With Some truck Horn buttons U have to press in hard with the heal of your hand and at the same time twist your hand COUNTER clockwise.... |

i have a 64a i have the wheal of now and you just pres down and turn couenter clockwis but dont pry strait up i may brack the hucks off as i am now havin trouble keapin it in plac |

As cgull says you don't want to pry straight up, it's easier on the plastic lugs of the horn button to use a twisting motion when removing...

Disconnect the horn first, otherwise you'll have every dog
within fifteen miles barking. |
