My Superior has a 5 speed manual transmission. I do not know what brand. I have never double clutched when shifting since it has synchromesh and shifts fine normally. Someone recently told me that I should be double clutching anyway. Is there any sense to that? If so, why? |

depends on how often you want to replace trans.& clutch... |

If you are not grinding gears while shifting then you do not need to double clutch. The synchros are doing that for you. This is assuming that you are using the clutch normally for shifting. Richard |

He's referring o another thread where they are talking about crashboxes. Matching RPMs while downshifting is not a bad idea even in a full sync box. Gary |
