usually...you can get a can of liquid wrench...an assortment of 'o'-rings & fix 'em at the kitchen table |

Harbor freight has a o-ring assortment in a plastic box...10.00 I think ...the liquid wrench is to wash all the parts & leave a coating of oil on everything....by the way...take off your air line TO the wipers & squirt some liquid wrench in there...about a 1 second squirt...every year |

I had my driver's air wiper motor rebuilt-- it was nearly the same price ($100-125) as getting a new one, but there were no new ones available. I took mine to Fleetpride Truck parts and they sublet it out to a place in Sacramento, CA that actually rebuilt it. It works line new now-- even on slow speed it is precise. Who needs electic wipers! --Geoff '82 RTS CA |

air = better wipers the parts don't seem to wear out in there ...just get dirty & gummed-up & o-rings crack afters years of faithful service...it's not rocket surgery...kinda like the D-2 air govenor that needs to be disassembled & cleaned every couple of years.. |
