Not a big problem yet, but it looks like I have some grease seepage showing up on in the inside of my drivers side front wheel. I have a 4108 GMC. I took the outside cap off and everthing looks good. I spent about 30 min pushing about 6 oz of grease in through the tiny holes of the outside bearing. But I am not convinced the grease will get to the inside bearing. Is there a way to get grease in without repacking the bearings? Whats the best way to keep an eye on it? Any ideas out there?

Thanks and have a great day.

The only way is to just fix it if grease is comming out it could be from the bearings getting hot or just the grease seal is bad.
The inside? Then it getting on the brakes I would guess.
Your bus is talking to you and if you dont listen it will yell at you when the wheel comes off from a burnt out wheel bearing.
A easy way to do the wheel bearing is to raise the front wheel just off the ground and use a piece of steel and grease it up put it under the tire and the tire will slide on it and you will not dammage the seal or bearings. Or take the tire and wheel off ,harder to do or buy the $300. wheel dolly.

I think you wasted your time craming grease in there...have even seen people pack the hub nut full...scares me when I find that..cause anybody that would do that, doesn't know how to do it...if you want it done correctly, take it to a truck shop & have them replace all seals & repack the bearings

no to do it right you will have to take the wheel off and then the brake drum as you have to replace the seal. when you do this you will be able to deside if you want to use grease in the hub or oil. a lot of us went to oil but have gone back to grease due to the bus sitting for weeks- months at a time and he wheel does notget rotated to relube the top part of the bearings, also the seals tend to leak after sitting and the oil will leak out as some as the bus is used again. and due to this lack of dailey use the oil seals need to be replaced more often plus the oil gets on the brake lining more often. any truck shop or any one you know that has a gravel truck or heavy truck can tell you how to pack wawheel bearing proper and once showen you will never forget as you will end up with grease all over your hands. PS us a good wheel greese if you go that way.

Thanks everyone for the help. I got the parts today from Mohawk and found someone to put them in. I have done it before on my trucks and trailers, but it's a little snowy and cold out to mess around with a couple of hundred pounds of rubber and steel.

Have a great day.
