When i was stripping the siding from my bus, i noticed that where every rivet was there was a round rubber pad about a 1/2inch in diameter, plus where the chassis wasn't exactly straight they put a layer of masked adhesive to bring the lower areas up or out to eliminate problems, what is the best way to eliminate rivet pucker when going back with the new siding?

I plan to use strips of Delrin plastic as shims and thermal break under my siding. I'll also use Sikaflex. My siding is 18 gage steel.

Adame,

Will you be riveting your skins? Do you intend to use the delrin as a spacer, in a washer fashion, for the sikkaflex application?

Will you be using natural delrin or a glass filled version?

Thanks,
