This is a PD-4104 that has been restored down in Brazil. Makes you want to ask how did they get it to look so good. http://br.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mattera26/album?.dir=/5a91 J.L.Vickers |

Cheaper labor costs down there. MUCHO hand polishing and related work. We just don't see that sort of thing on a restoration of that size stateside because no one dedicated enthusiast could pull it off, not like a car or something. |

I have followed the FUTURLINER restore since it started. There are a lot of DEDICATED volunteers there and it is unbeleiveable how much of that steel is new. There just was not much left of the old FUTURLINER when they got it. It was taken to one of GMs celebrations and the president of GM told Don that he and his crew of volunteers were heros. Hmmmm, GM makes FUTURLINER, GM gives FUTURLINER away, FUTURLINER gets junked, FUTURLINER gets rebourn, GM declares heros????? I dunno, something just does not sound right here... MAK has one but he has gotton really quiet about it, maybe took on too much as I don't think it was in as good of shape as the above mentioned unit. Very Very good job.....
