After doing a search, the best thread I found was:

One of my customers is considering propane in a GMC with 8V71. He is not comfortable with the internet, so I thought I would see if I can help him.

It looks like claimjumper has fabricated a system and is happy with it. Would like to hear from others who have installed propane on an 8V71 or other non-turboed DD.

One specific question is how the propane is metered. I assume that a jet is used. I would like to find out size of jet used.

Claimjumper, I would be interesed in discussing this off line:

on the pickup truck size propane enhancement systems i have seen... all use a gas pressure regulator... some have 3... 1 is set for economy... 2nd is set for pulling.. and 3rd regulator is set for the black-tire-smokin-5-second-idiot-takes-over...all were controlled with electric/gas solenoids.. like on a gas shielded wire-feed welder....

You're probably better off with nitrous oxide on a DD.
