Has anyone used this for problems with head gasket or cracked head.
My friend is trying to make it back to Houston and has water in the oil. I may have the name wrong?

Tow it/park it and fix it. Trying to drive it is only going to end up costing more money. The crap in a can only works for very minor leaks.

Where is he?

How bad is the leak?

Does he plan to do a complete overhaul? If so, I'd try to drive it as far as possible.

Before panic sets in:

How much water in the oil?
Is he sure it's not condensation?
Is the engine running rough or puffing white clouds?
Is he losing a lot of water; is it disappearing?
Is there oil in the water?
Is it overheating?
After running it for an hour, is there still water in the oil?
Is there excessive blow-by?
Is the water getting pressurized beyond the recommended range?
Is it water from the cooling system, or external source, like rain
running into a breather?

From the little I know....water getting inside the block from
around the sleeves is usually going to produce other symptoms
as well... not just water in the oil..

Had a 8v71 a few back that got water in the oil, The garage said that the antifreeze took out the bearning and ruined the crank, so with this being said I would park it unless I was running straight water. I trashed the eng on that one and bought a low mile take out which is still in the truck today.Keep running it may cost you a lot more, and maybe not be cost wise to fix.

I have used K & N block sealer with great success. I have a 69 Road Runner with a big engine that had a water leak from too much porting in the head. Followed directions on can. I am still driving that car today. It worked for me. It might be worth a try.

I got a fresh rebuilt 8V71 with a cracked head. The guy that replaced it for me said that the problem is usually O-rings. Mine was a crack, so I had to buy a new head. I suspect that the head may have been torqued incorrectly to cause the crack.

I hope your friend works it out.
