I have an Eagle 20 with 6V92 DDEC II. My original programming allowed 1050 lb/ft peak torque at 1200 RPM with 300 HP at 1960 RPM. This programming only allowed bus speed of 66 MPH. The uprate programming from Detroit to get to 71 MPH allowed 350 HP at 2010 RPM but the torque actually dropped to 1020 lb/ft peaking at 1200 RPM. What torque, HP and RPM max do you guys with same engine and ECM have in your buses? Does anyone have programming that will allow more torque and also the 2110 RPM to get the 71 MPH? Also, what torque, HP and rpm do the non-DDEC 6v92 engines operate at in your buses?

Greg -

I don't have a 6V92TA in my coach, but the DDA spec sheet I have shows the following info on the mechanical, non-DDEC engine:

Silver 350 --
HP: 350 @ 2100 rpm
Torque: 1020 ft/lbs @ 1200 rpm
Injectors: 9G90

Silver 300 --
HP: 300 @ 2100 rpm
Torque: 1020 ft/lbs @ 1200
Injectors: 9G90

Silver 300 --
HP: 300 @ 1800 rpm
Torque: 975 ft/lbs @ 1200 rpm
Injectors: 9G85

Note there are two 300 hp versions of the mechaical engine - differences are the governed speed and injector sizing.

I don't have any DDEC specs, but I wonder if the original program torque spec you have is accurate. . . could it be a misprint and should read 1020 instead of 1050??

Just thinkin' at the keyboard. . .
