Looking for photo(s) from rear of MCx drivetrain area, starting say, where the transmission is, as far forward as possible, preferably all the way to bay 3. What I'm really trying to see well is what the space is like forward of the wheel wells, above the driveshaft and differential.

I've seen something like this quite awhile back, but can't begin to remember where. Marc, was it yours? It was someone who was repowering or rebuilding.

Don't go to any trouble, but if you happen to know off the top of your head, pls. let me know, ok? It's too rainy/cold to crawl under there right now. :-(

Chuck, I'm working on this even as we type. Would you want the axles in place or removed?

If in place, what is it you're interested in attempting?

It may be sufficient, for your purposes, for me to air up one of my 9's which are on wheels.

OTOH, if you'd prefer the wheels and axles out, that may take a bit.

Let me know

Marc, thanks, but don't go to any trouble. I've seen this in a photo on the web somewhere and was thinking it might be a site somebody was familiar with.

Chuck, I'll bet if drop a line to Craig Shepard (aka "Gumpy"), he'd have pics of nearly ANY part of his 9. That dude's pretty thorough on his pics... and his conversion. Plus, he's always been responsive and helpful when I asked for some advice.

Just a thought,

No John, but thanks for the trouble. I have those diagrams also. Can't wait to git under and do all that myself.

But what I'm looking for is something more like this, with the engine out, viewing as far as possible frontward. (This one is from a modded Eagle if I remember)

I have seen pics of what I"m looking for - someone had the engine out and was rebuilding it in his backyard. At the time I said to myself, "Yikes, I'll never need/want/have the cojones to do *that*!!!" Oh well.

What I really want is as high as possible above the air tank, to see what happens up there wiith the hoses.

Here's some real lousy shots of a 9-er's insides getting repowered by Bernhard... http://bernhardbus.com/mc9_project.htm

I think I've seen the shots your talking about. Some guy doing a 60 Series shoehorn into an MCI. I'll keep digging around...
