Huge, apalling bummer...I just got a call from my friend Ben about an hour ago. Prince, the seal-point Siamese cat he has no memory of NOT having around, died about 4 hours ago. His fiancee found Prince curled up on the front screen porch; she noticed his always-moving tail was still, then realized he wasn't breathing. His body was getting cold...the vet said he seems to have gone peacefully in his sleep, probably a heart attack. RIP Prince, November 11, 1980-February 13, 2005. |

Wow, he lived to a ripe old age for a cat. Sucks to lose a pet though. Bob |

Bad dog, dowm boy! I use to use that "heart attack" line all the time (was rooked into a long stint as the city animal corner). Makes for quick closure. |

Not for quick closure...this vet has cared for Prince, literally, since the day he started his practice in 1983 (in fact, Prince was his third patient). Update e-mail...he heard noises on his front porch a minute ago, and looked outside. Standing in THE EXACT SAME SPOT where Prince used to sleep was a somewhat ragged-looking kitten. It is a blue-eyed seal-point Siamese. |

Yup. Imma geek. :D When I get back from Iraq in a few years, one of the first things I'll be doing is electronicifying my bus with PIC microcontrollers, hydraulic levelling devices and a kickass SAT/NAV device... The technology should be caught up and using the European version of GPS... much more accurate than the U.S. Mil GPS system... Purposefully scrambled and all... A waste of a perfectly useful system if ya ask me.... But that's another story. ;) But yea.. I'm a geek. Not as big a geek as I used to be... but still a geek. heh. Age is curing that problem these days I guess! Well, back to the grind. Need to return this power adapter that I bought... it's incomplete, someone jacked it. Oh well. --- Johnny... Post a pic of your old cat, and the new one that found its way to your door. -Mac |
