I've come across a few 96A3s and even 102A3s for what seem like a reasonable price range. I haven't seen much written about either bus as a conversion candidate. Is that because they've tended to be too expensive until recently?

Does anyone have any other opinions or observations on these buses? Are they fundamentally similar to the MC 9, aside from the outside appearance (and width of the 102)?

If I remember correctly from reading "Modern Intercity Coaches", I thought there were ride improvements (added a rear sway bar I think) between the MCI-9 and 96A3. Also, many cosmetic & aerodynamic changes.
