Just get your oil levels under control and don't go back there. There's also some places on the net to write a report on the place. Then, you get to wait and take the time to figure out if you have any PROVABLE damages. You may not have any IDENTIFIABLE damage at all. I've known gear boxes to be much lower than that without them seeming any worse for the wear. If you are bent on making an issue of it with the shop, then you might want to give them notice that you found something wrong with their work that might result in a claim. The usual problem here is evidence. Most times, that's all that will come of it. If you actually have a failure, you ought to think about how you can preserve the evidence that they damaged your rig. It's harder to do than most people realize. An oil sample analysis might help either of two ways. It could show that nothing is happening and give you peace of mind or it could show new metal in your fresh oil. Use it to reduce doubt. Good luck with your rig. If do you get into a scrap, you will be very lucky if you don't wind up regretting it. Tom Caffrey PD4106-2576 Suncatcher |
