I got er up there on the profile page. I know its not as nice as some (most) I've seen on this sight but I've only had it a year now and have been working on it on the road. mechanical has to come before cosmetic. gotta figure out those bay doors and get them closing and fastening right and it will look much better. at 70 MPH and 30 yards she looks real good. 2Dogs don't beat me up too bad cause you know I'll cry |

Better than mine . Actually, it's obvious a lot of the functional stuff has been done. One question though: what are all those...thingies on the roof? Looks like you've got like 6+ little 5,000btu ACs or something? |

things could be worse crybaby...at least you don't have a school bus...have you gotten underneath and looked at your brake shoes?...how thick are they ? do you know how to adjust the brakes? changeing to 24.5 tires won't change your r.p.m.s...do you know how tall your 20" tires were ? |

it's a lot harder to see 'under' a bus than a big truck...but...lots of truck stops that have a pit will adjust your slack adjusters...and give you a report on what the shoes look like...and they will give it a grease job, which does not happen very often on bus conversions, would say half of the conversions haven't been greased since they left comercial service |

My 20" tires were 41" my 24.5" are 43". I'm gonna try to get it in today to get brakes checked and air system for level. |

Capt'n Ron - Using Daris Boutillier's calculator, this might be useful. I've forgotten which transmission you have in your 4905, so I'm posting both the stick and the auto info. RPM on top, road speed underneath, rounded to nearest mph: 4-spd w/ 20" tires (41" tall)
1600 | 1700 | 1800 | 1900 | 2000 | 2100 | 55 | 58 | 62 | 65 | 69 | 72 | 4-spd w/ 24.5" tires (43" tall)
1600 | 1700 | 1800 | 1900 | 2000 | 2100 | 57 | 61 | 65 | 68 | 72 | 76 | V-730 w/ 20" tires (41" tall)
1600 | 1700 | 1800 | 1900 | 2000 | 2100 | 51 | 54 | 57 | 60 | 64 | 67 | V-730 w/ 24.5" tires (43" tall)
1600 | 1700 | 1800 | 1900 | 2000 | 2100 | 53 | 57 | 60 | 63 | 67 | 70 | If you study the tables, you'll see that TwoDogs comments about not changing your rpms isn't totally accurate. Your rpm may not change, but your road speed at the same rpm is going to be different. HTH, RJ PD4106-2784 <soggy> Fresno CA |
