I know what you are thinking, big deal Bob. But we were waiting for them, and didn't know how long it would take, and BANG they came in. We waited on Firestone and they gave us no clue how long it would be. They are now winging their way to So OR Diesel for install. Many thanks to Neopart for coming through, and more to the fine folks at SOD for treating me so well. HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS! Bob

Bob: I'm just curious, but didn't Mohawk have them for your bus? Glad your results with Neoparts was better than my last go around with them. 3 out of 4 items were wrong and I spent 3 months getting a credit from them on my card. Ended up getting them from their vendors, with not a word of referral from Neopart. For my money it is no wonder they are a dying company.

I don't know if they did or not, I don't know how to get ahold of Mohawk. Do you have their contact info, so I have it in the future? I hope they sent the right ones! All the bst Jim, Bob

For what it's worth; I have been buying parts from Neopart in Honeybrook, PA for at least 7 years for my '81 Skyliner. That's a German built model and sometimes they have had to get the parts sent from Germany. The parts people have been very helpful that I deal with and I have only had one incorrect part and they resolved that rapidly.

I've purchased airbags, long wheel studs for aluminum rims, various frame sections to repair my frame, windshields (upper and lower) and many small suspension parts, just to name a few. Some were really odd. I've also sent some suspension parts in for kingpin rebuilding and the work was outstanding.

I've read about several people that have had issues, but I think you need to know there are others, like myself, who have been very pleased. It helps that I have a parts manual that they sent me right at the beginning. However, they also will fax you a copy of the page they are working from. It does take patience, because in my case this bus is out of production, unusual and most of what they are working with is printed in German in the manuals. And perhaps since I have more time than someone who is broken down, patience to resolve matters is on my side.

Bob: www.mohawkmfg.com 1-800.323.7652 From their web site u can order a parts price catalog in print and on cd-free.

Russ: I have the parts manual on my Jetliner(US Neoplan;I bought it from them) and I think that is where some of the problem is. They have changed the parts #'s and somewhere along the chain the cross-referencing link in their system was never upgraded. However, my unit was equipped w/an aftermarket compressor clutch for the Carrier compressor that came from the factory (another German Corp acting as a vendor to them) and they were totally unaware of this company having supplied the clutch assy. to them for 12 years.

I found it by close examination of the old clutch thru a magnifying viewer and the assistance of the parts counter people of A-Z bus in Sacramento. They were located in Atlanta and shipped a replacement the day I called them without 1st getting payment. Didn't even ship a bill until I called them inquiring about it. Maybe I'm off-base here, but I expect a little more knowledge and assistance from a factory parts operation than that.

Another case and another time: I ordered new belts for the radiator fans--2 matched sets. What I got was 1 of each set and even though the parts and maintenance manuals clearly make note of the matched set requirement, I had to go to great lengths explaining to them why I was returning the single belts. They remain my source of last resort but I am glad to hear that they don't screw everything up.
