How many marker lights are required by law, i know on my bus there were two lights just below the window line one for markers and the other were for turn signals, do i need both or can i use one to do both jobs?

The side marker is law in Canada but I don't know about the States. My version would be that I would keep them separate as the turn signal would show up much brighter by itself then if it was combined. It boils down to a safety issue. BE SEEN AND BE SAFE. My opinion. Bill

you should have more than that...get your driver handbook from D.O.T. I just put four (4) six bulb led's on each side (amber)...my particular ones are hooked up to the house batteries & I run them at night here in the park & run them at nite while traveling & while parked in rest areas...just to keep somebody from hitting me in the dark...love the very low draw on batteries & the 100,000 hour life...

my l.e.d. markers cost 4.00 each...simple job...like the other guy said..."be seen be safe"...the thought of being hit broadside in a turn is scary...have aprox 40.00 & some labor invested..will post E*** number on E*** board if you are interisted...

Aw, Chuck, you beat me to the punch. And here's a link from the FMCSA... less visual, more bureaucratic: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rulesregs/fmcsr/regs/393.11.htm
