I am fixing some stray wiring in the rear of the bus. I need to know, are the top 2 lights of the rear of an eagle brake lights only? OR do they double as tail lights and when brakes applied, the 2nd bulb activates? Also, there are 4 red lights below the bumper area. Are these tailights only? Thanks

My 80 Eagle 10 had two single element bulbs under each reflector. They were brake lights only. I believe the clearance lights were the same configuration.
Anyhow, I took out the light assemblies and replaced the single element sockets with dual element sockets. I then re-wired so that I had two brake lights on each side and two clearance lights on each side. Made a lot of difference in the visibility of the bus.
But what made the biggest difference, and what I strongly urge every Eagle owner to do, I lined the interior of all the plastic holders with aluminum foil tape. Including the back up lights. It does not matter if there are a lot of wrinkles. It is really unbelievable the difference that makes. Try it, I guarantee that you will like it.

Ethan, mine were also originally. I replaced the lamp holders with two element holders therby converting them to marker as well as brake lights.
