Ya I'm there with my GMC bus and a trailer with 9 bikes behind it(one extra runner as there mostly harleys) and 7 other guys paying the way leaving from just south of Milwaukee Wi on Friday AM plenty of beer and frozen pizzas for the straight through ride which takes us about 22 hours and a lot of stories. Just a note I wont be taking part in the festivities till we get there straight coke only somebodies gotta be the responsible one. Will be at racetrack rv park one block east of the track, for the 8th year now.
Dont forget about the porkchops at The Roadhouse on Main, their a must have. Heard the space shuttle may be going off, still need to research it. |

I didn't get any gigs there,( they are too cheap in Daytona) so I won't be going this year. I'll be in Gainesville for the all Harley drags though.
Randy, got the alternator working and every thing is ok. you have to take the strap off of the pos to feild and put field wire there then ground the other field to the case. thanks for helping me out. I'll be sending you something in the mail soon. have fun in Daytona. |

Hey kids, just got a second to stop by, hoep everyone has been good.
A note about Bikeweek in Daytona, I lived there for 12 years. Bikeweek is almost as pete said, his figures are a little low, more like 500,000 bikes and a 500,000 wannaB's
But, even though there is a sea of black leather, it is by far the safest event daytona has. Bikers are very good people and its not uncomman for people to walk the streets at 3 am and be perfectly safe.
But i would run like hell if you're there when BCR starts, what a zoo and NOT safe.

Spring break in Daytona is fun too.
All the hype is gone, no race cars, no bikes, no body around, well some babes on the beach yet. Not like it used to be !
Daytona used to be a "happening place" on SB! I remember when.......oh those college days.
Now during Spring Break its easy to get ocean front rooms, cheep and its no problem finding a place to park on the beach. After you "pay" to get on beach.
Looking forward to a quieter Dayton and our Spring break. Now we get see Jeffy`s race car....

cops in ormond beach just north of daytona used to be the worst.(late 80's) i always got some kind of ticket. soured me on bike week. |
