Pull the cable out, soak it in diesel for several hours. Then take a wire brush and clean the cable by brushing at an angle. When you put it back DO NOT USE LOTS OF GREASE OR OIL. A little will do the trick. I used the Royal Purple sythetic liquid wrench type. I had to attach a pair of vice grips and pull like mad to get mine out. I have even heard of some people attaching a tow car and pulling it out. Good luck, John |
