A friend, knowing my interest in converting busses, just called to tell me that he was watching the estimable (sp) proprietor of Walker Coach being interviewed in a program showing on the Travel Channel.

I don't know the title, I don't have cable so I can't say any more.

Wonder how different the interview would have been had the show's director had checked with this BB.

BTW, MAK also appeared (but not together)

Looks like for once I'll catch something on TV that someone on the mainland pointed out... If I remember I'll post something more about it. Right now I can tell you that it's called "Dreaming Big", and here in Hawaii it's on at 8pm.

Typical Travel Channel fare. Narrator exercised great liberties with the word "bus" (Of the 5-6 featured "buses" 3 were MotorHomes, one of them a Fleetwood Discovery of all things and the disco limo was some piece of crap converted class A with front gas engine (they could have at least featured one of the several RTS I have seen converted for Limo Service). At least I now have a face to put on Sam Walker. I wonder why they didn't feature one of Mike's Cabins? I liked the way they intro'ed the segment on Royale by Monaco---converted 30 yr. hi-way iron next.....

Yes, the show was mostly a disappointment. Started out good with Mike Kadlitz and then went to Sam Walker. Anxiously called my wife to watch it with me as we are in the process of converting now and thought it would be a good time to see new ideas. Show went south in a hurry when they started showing stick and staples, like the Discovery, rarely showing true bus conversions. Did show a million plus Prevost that was commerically produced, didn't even acknowledge converter but looked like American Coach. Like above posts was able to put a face to names for Mike and Sam but other than glimpses of some limited interior and exterior shots of Sams conversions, not much else really of value. Will try to get on the Travel Channel web site to send message. Have to hope for the future for better showing of our "love and art of conversion".

I agree with Rob. Nothing to add to that... it was amusing (somewhat) but mostly useless for us, I think. Kind of a picture book of buses -- that would be a highly charitable description.

I agree with you, my honey came and got me as I was working outside... but by the time I got in, the show was almost through at Walker's. I had seen the TerraWind earlier in the day and it looked to me like it was built a while ago. Seems to me like a sudden flip that "palace" in a heartbeat"
