Max - DDA (maybe others?) sells a little gizmo that mounts on the engine's blower intake in such a way that it measures the incoming air flow. When the restriction gets to a certain point, it changes from green to red, indicating it's time to clean the air filter. Can't remember the name of the thing (senior moment), but they're quite inexpensive and simple to install. I've got one on my 8V71. . . Is that what you had in mind??? RJ PD4106-2784 Fresno CA |

Unless you drive on dirt roads in the desert , following close to a big truck , filters dont get THAT full that fast. The small units that install in the intake manifold or on the filter housing have the reading stay in place , so anytime you take a look at the oil farm , you will see how plugged the filters are. DD does have published max restriction in Da Book. FAST FRED |

thanks fred, I finally found the info for my 6v92. If anyone is interested its 25 in/h2o for the alarm. A 30 in/h20 gauge should work great! |
