Overheated in the winter? In a stick-shift GMC? Did not know that was possible. Hey... just thinking out loud here. Maybe old Capt. Ron's bucket-o-bus is just the karma... him paying penance... to get to drive around the country singing silly songs about asking college co-eds to show him their t*ts. LOL BB |

You do know that winter isn't frozen tundra everywhere don't you ? Gainesville IS in Florida, and it's nice and sunny and warm You boys sure seem to be soooo jealous of Capt.Ron? Don't you wish you were out traveling the country, looking at,well whatever, instead of traveling the bus boards? I know I do, (well not seeing the whatevers,LOL)and I will be fulltiming shortly! I just love seeing another 4905 running the roads, not the junkyards.Keep up the "clean" humor men!(there may be ladies present) Linda |

Hey, quit pickin' on Ron. The only difference between him & many of the rest of us is that he's not too macho to tell us about these problems. When we got our first bus, the seller delivered it to us. At first, this seemed like a nice gesture. I soon found out that that was because the clutch was almost gone & she'd overheat in December over 50MPH! I spent the first year, MANY hours & about $5 grand making her roadworthy. Ron, everything used has "issues". It is really frustrating that some of your problems are caused by incompetant or dishonest folks. Two Dogs keeps calling your bus "worn out" but I don't think a bus CAN be worn out, just neglected. Our oldest bus ('59) has way more miles than yours & it's still safe, quiet & reliable. Keep the faith, Jim-Bob |
