Hey guys... I'm not usually one to watch infomercials and such... But one caught my eye this morning and I thought I'd share it with you all. One of the things I had thought about was, how the heck am I going to get one of those HUGE ladders in my bus, and keep it hidden and out of the way? I knew there'd be a need for a ladder, and not one of those little wimpy ones either. I knew I'd need a decent sized ladder.... Well, take a look at http://www.ladders.com and tell me that's not the coolest ladder you've ever seen! I've found the ladder I'm going to buy when I get around to buying one! It's called The Little Giant Ladder System... Cheers! -Mac |

Doh! That thread was a few days before I left... not sure how I missed it. And I did a search to try to make sure I didn't double post the info! Grrr. Oh well. Ian! You can delete this thread. -Mac |

HD sells what I think is better. Folds to under 4', extends to 12', makes into a 4' platform style, and is only 16" wide, about 7" thick folded. Very well built and solid to climb on. Abt. $169.00. Used one of the other busnuts' at a rally last week to work on my hanging side mirrors and I was impressed. I have one of those 7' RV collapsibles and they are not worth the time to carry them home. |

Mac - I have one of those "Little Giant" ladders, got it at the local spring Home & Garden Show at the fairgrounds about five years ago. I saw them the first day the show opened, then went back on it's last day just before closing. Got a better deal (plus some extras!) 'cause now the sales guy wouldn't have to pack it up and haul it. When I first saw this ladder, I had getting on the roof of my coach in mind, and this works perfectly for that. It's also been very handy for other projects, too. A little pricey (and heavy), but it is very well-built, and they stand behind their product. I had one of the footpads fail, and they replaced it immediately after my phone call, with just a couple of days for the post office to get it to me. It is aluminum, but it definitely is NOT flimsy!! Get two of them, and you can create your own scaffolding. . . FWIW, RJ PD4106-2784 Fresno CA |

We have one of the ladders from HD just like the one in the infomercial and it it everything and more than what they say it is! VERY sturdy and you can do a lot on it that you can't do on a regular ladder. Mine was $99.00 and worth every cent! Ace |

There are also ladders that Telescope down to about 3 ft. Camping World has them and they are for sale for less on Ebay. |

I was at Sam's Club today & they had the one like the Little Giant made by "Werner". Bought it for $99 and brought it home in the backseat of the car - under 5' high & extends to 13'. Guess what - when I got home found the right front corner marker burned out so have used it already. It's rated for up to 300 lbs. Looks like I'll have to put on about 40 - too thin, only 260. |
