Just pulled my V730 and pieces of the Flexplate were all over the bellhousing. I think the guy at the shop tried to move it and dropped it in gear at high RPM's. I have a GMC, 8v71 V730 and am looking for the flexplate and someone who is willing to ship ASAP t Portland,OR. Call me at 503 789 9311 with details. |

I would bet the shop did not know how to release the brakes. And like others here with bust rear end and such is from them trying to move a bus with locked up brakes. Some shops dont care and run your bus cars trucks like a drag car. I had a 80's 4 speed Trans Am that went back for warranty for a bad synchro and guess what they said the clutch was bad it just fell apart in there shop. And clutch was not covered by warranty and they tryed to tell me it would cost about $350. extera. I said BS and went to look and the clutch was in 100 parts and a big hole in the bell housing. They was still trying to say I abused the clutch and it was almost bust before I broght it in. So I know some place around there was a burn out and parts on the ground so I went looking and guess what about 1 1/2 miles from the dealer ship was a road with lots of burn outs and then one long one then a short one that stops with bellhousing and clutch parts on the ground. So back to get the shop forman and show him he .Still he said that could be any ones, well I gathered up some parts off the ground and when the parts fit the car . Not much he could say then . Even with out the parts or finding the burn out they should have payed to fix it any way . But this was way more fun making them look stupid Good luck Bill it should be coverd by the shop 100%.
