just bought an 01 1962 eagle.most of the old skin is a light gold anadized look. the parts that they have changed are silver. is there some thing that i acn do to the gold parts. |

you might try a translucent gold paint...take it to a Dupont paint supply & have the mixer come out & look at it...wait....are you saying you want it silver ??? |

it's half silver. half gold. This is the bottem half of the bus. the top is paint. i like to go back to all silver for the bottem half. but some of the bottem pannels are gold. |

they make a pad now that looks like a scotch brite...for your grinder...you will have to polish all of the aluminum after you are finished....you are talking close to 100 hours labor...but...the finished product will be what you want |

Hey 2 dogs, what makes a Golden Eagle? is it the year? the model? is that what the shadow(only 1)dog has? Just wondering. |

he has a golden Eagle...it's gold anidized aluminum....I worked with it years ago...REAL fine layer of gold...like 1/2 the thickness of a cigarette paper...gold is weird stuff...it's so thin that there is probaly just a few dollars worth of gold on it.... |

thanks twodogs. how many years did they the golden eagle. and it will come off ???. i think that about 1/3 of the skin is still gold. so i think i will start small. and work large.. |

get that pad I told you about...the one that looks like a scotch brite...it will come off...THEN ...you will have to polish ALL the aluminum...big job...but...if you are a busnut...not too big...take pictures ...before and after ! ! |
