Have a 1981 Grumman/Flex and want to install air dryers. Can you recommend one? Bendix has several models. Don't know which is best for this application.

thanks.

The web site has full instructions on the maint required , and the service intervals.

Just pick what you want to work on.

As FF said:

Refillable cannister, when working upside down, above your face, under the bus.... got to come out, and go back with it cleaned out, refilled, don't spill, trip, knock it over on the bench, tip it over underneath...

Not as big a deal as I've made it sound, but the spin on cartridges sure have an attraction of climbing under once, spin it off and on and crawl out with the spent one!

happy coaching!

The Bendix AD-9 is a popular unit, and is often on sale.

When I needed one, the bay had a steady supply. Check out what they have and one should be okay.

Just to add something else. There are other brands than Bendix, and I'm sure that some are just as good. However, it seems that Bendix is so dominant in the field that they are the only ones whose parts seem to be consistantly available wherever you are.

Bendix AD-9 would be my first choice.

The newer spin on units sound easier to maintain but I have no practical experience with them. I'd ask your local Bendix representative for an opinion and go with their recomendation.

I believe that the bigest issues you will have will be finding a mounting space which allows for adequate room to mount and maintain the unit as well as plumbing it without too much trouble.
