Does anybody know how much of a pain it is to register and title a bus as an RV in Nebraska? Are there any special taxes they hit you with? Thanks |

Actually we are staying with my family in the Denver area. Once we get our finances worked out we are planning on moving to Nebraska. I am sick and tired of the city life. |

I live in Nebraska, and in January, I licensed my MC9 conversion. I went to the county courthouse with the signed title from the previous owner and my proof of insurance card (needed for licensing). I told the clerk in the treasurer's office I was licensing a motorhome. All buses would be in the heaviest, RV weight category, over 13,000 pounds. The plates and registration cost me about $60.00. Sales tax is another matter. Nebraska has a 5.5% sales tax, and towns may add up to 1.5% more. Depending on where you live, you could pay 7% sales tax on the purchase price. Hope this helps and welcome to Nebraska. |
