I have a 4104 with the 4 speed spicer. driving down the road shifted into fourth and it jumped out of gear put it in third and it will not come out of third with the gear shift lever. I can manually move the 3-4 lever at the transmission.
I removed the floor plate at the shift tower and i can see the 3-4 slide and from the neutral position it moves about 2" in either direction. I disconnected the 3-4 rod from the transmission and i can move the rod easily back and forth i can see the bell crank in the engine compartment move and it also moves the drivers shift lever from 3-4 and back. why won't it shift out of third when all hooked up ????? |
