I wanted to share in my enthusiasm that I finally got the old girl out and made an 80 mile run with her for a two-day getaway for the family. Here's some pics and highlights of the trip: http://www.browncowpro.com/travel/FTC/1.htm I'm happy to report that the oil pressure and coolant temp. stayed right where it should. The time I've invested in her so far to get her roadworthy is indeed paying off (knock on wood). There's still a list of things to work on and work out before our fist major trip in June. I'll probably post soon on some of these things I'm concerned about. But this trip did wonders to instill in me some confidence in our new bus. It's an absolute dream to drive, other than the "driver training" issues of grinding gears and right-hand curbs I seem to always clobber. One day I am confident that I will conquer that Spicer! Thanks to all of you helpful busnuts out there. I couldn't have done any of this w/o your support and encouragement. Brian Brown Longmont, CO USA PD4106-1175 Bus Site |

Support and encouragement? Yeah, and maybe without our support and encouragement you'd have been done sooner, had more fun, and spent less money. Eh What? akrom |

Hey buddy - pleasant story. Be sure to toot the air horns as you're pulling into the area - after all this time you've thouroughly detoxed from TexMex, but if you feel the need to fill up again I know just the place! -c |

Brian - great story and congratulations on getting the old girl back out on the road. It looks like she really cleaned up nicely. Nice to have a shakedown cruise without a tow truck in the picture! Craig - MC7 |

Hehe... Country Club neighbors... I like that. They definitely don't like buses or anything that resembles something that cost less than $250,000 to purchase pre-built. The "neighbor" across the street from me is one such person... He went so far as to call the cops on me in an attempt to get me to remove my bus from the neighborhood... It wasn't registered see, I had just brought it home... Little bastard was quick on the phone with the cops... To make a long story short, I ended up just going ahead and registering it and parking it IN FRONT of the house, which just happens to be right in front of HIS house too. Once the tags and inspection were in place and it had insurance... I just let it sit for a week and let him stew about being an asshole. Then, I put it in storage... but I did it to prove a point. He should've kept his damn nose out of my business to begin with. I'm a vindictive SOB when I want to be. ;) Nice bus, too BTW. Cheers! -Mac |

Brian, Another excellent story. Third time must be a charm.. I hope to have my 4905 on the road in about 30 days to start in a few shakedown runs myself, only about 1300 rivets to go. Cliff 75 4905A |
