I posted a picture of the service panel and inverter on yahoo so you guys can check out JJ's work. the loose wires and other stuff hanging down are my fault I haven't had time to put the straps up or take down some of the old stuff.

Neat, clean installation, readily accesible. At the risk of sounding overly critical, I hope that is not a permanent location for the batteries and presume it is not.

Batteries are going under fresh water tank. I have about 36 x 60 x 18 inch high area for what ever batteries I end up using. batteries are where they are because that was all the cable I had at the time. Thanks for you comments

Captain Ron,
Electrical panel look good.

About battery compartment, does it have well vented area to outdoor? If not it would be like an explosion waiting to happen while charging on road with lid close.

Hydrogen gas from battery is very instantaneous explosive gas. Faster than gasoline vapor.

Example during High school class outdoor demo was a paper cup with 3/16’ tygon tubing inserted between cup w/paper to seal on top to battery’s cap (drilled for tube). Charge battery w/charger for about 5 minute. Remove tube from cup & seal with paper on top. Two volunteers one to remover paper while other throws in a lighted match. Result of explosion was so fast even with wide open top, it split open cup’s wall flat to pavement all around. That I will never take Hydrogen gas lightly since 1956.

To compare to gasoline vapor gas explosion in cup would only puff with no or light physical damage except it may burn afterward.

Keep us posted!

Wish you well on project.

FWIW

I may ut a boat type exauhst fan in that bay where the batteries will be kept, with a switch that can be turned on while stting still and a air ram type vent for when under way. that section will be closed off when done with a pull out tray.
