Fuse and/or breaker somewhere? Also, it's not clear whether or not the bus engine actually started? Is the problem "interior lights" or "everything"? |

Quick test? Use a battery jumper cable across the two switch terminals. If you find it's the switch, try turning it on and off a vast number of times. It gets corroded from sitting and giving it some action may clear it. There's also contact cleaner you can buy at Rat Shack to spray inside the switch.... |

It is an mc9 and for some reason i have nothing inside or out .The bus had been running last week and I just put new batteries in it.I just took all the lugage racks down and cut quite a few wires to get them down do these have anything to do with the dash I thought they were only for the stereo and the lighting. When I shut it off last time I still had power on the dash. This was after I hacked out the wires |

Hummmm..... "bus had been running last week and I just put new batteries in it." "found problem was a dead battery replaced it and it works fine now" Let us know next week. You may not have fixed "the problem", you may hae only fixed the result of the problem. |

Maybe you done what FF said & now it corrected? If not dirty connection then Amen to “John that newguy” said! I do a simple check with low volt meter. 1) Disconnect “pos” 24v terminal measure voltage with everything turn off except master switch next to batteries. It should be 0 to .5v. Higher than that is reason to drain battery too fast. If so remove alternator’s large hot terminal and recheck drainage. If it show 0v, than diode is bad in alt. Otherwise something still turn on. 2) After running engine to warm up alternator with main heater’s blower on for 10 minute. Check for voltage of 28.4v w/nearly full state of charge. I checked the one battery I had removed and found it had a dead cell I now have two new batteries and it seems to be holding the correct voltage .Thanks for the help .While I was in the process I cleaned all the connections from the batter to the starter.Looks like that was part of the problem too. |
