Don't be modest, Ian, you're a very likable guy - you have to be to take the flak you get once in a while!

thank you thank you for this site.  i am a new soon to be owner of a 1966 silver eagle 01 model.  i think it is an awesome soon to be home.  i have many many questions but don't really know what to ask.  i have worked on vehicles for over 20 years but those are just regular vehicles.  this silver eagle is not a vehicle but will be a home for my children and myself for many many years to come.  so the questions i have are substantial to say the least.  advice help anything would be greatly appreciated and needed.  i live in stillwater oklahoma right now due to college but will be leaving in a few years when i graduate.  thank you all for being here and having this site up and running

new to the site and am in the market for a 4104 GMC coach. Have one spotted and waiting for the thaw up north. Hope to travel a little and enjoy our country. Reside in North Texas great place during the winter months. But a real bear in the summer. Selling our home, down sizing and getting ready, read a lot of posts and gaining some knowledge about RVing, really enjoy the site, full of lots of info.

I live in Stillwater, Oklahoma right now due to college, but will be leaving in a few years when i graduate.

There's another busnut in Stillwater, so you're not alone.  PM me for his contact info.

Also, please take a minute to edit your profile to include a signature line similar to mine below.  Include at least your first name, home-based city/state and bus year, make & model.  Makes it a whole lot easier for us to help you when you ask questions, as well as referring you to parts sources.  Click on the "Profile" tab above, then "Forum Profile Info" in the LH menu and follow the prompts.  TIA.

Be forewarned that the English grammar, syntax and punctuation police make random appearances, so put your edumacation to good use when you post so you'll be prepared for the real world after you leave the institution.   ;D

AJ -

Welcome aboard!  Are you aware that there are also classifieds on this site?  Several 4104s and it's hot-rod cousin the 4106 listed, so take a look simply by clicking on the menu tab above.

Do your homework before you take the plunge, ask lots of questions - we're here to help.  Don't forget to update your forum profile info to include a signature line similar to mine below.  Your home base city/state plus bus year, make & model (when you get one) will allow us to better help you when you start asking more questions.  Click on the "Profile" tab above, then "Forum Profile Info" in the LH menu and follow the prompts.

Again, welcome aboard!

I wouldn't have known the difference if you hadn't told us!

And I take this opportunity again to thank you and all hands who make this forum possible. I would have been in the dark when I first joined the crazy world of buses without this forum.

Hi y'all!  Greetings from N. Alabama and the new owner of 57GMC's bus.  I'm glad to be on the board!  I think I have my work cut out searching the archives for a whole list of info.  I'll be back to pester the board for those I can't find  ;D

Recently retired and we plan to put the old girl to work right away.  I had hoped to make a run to Chattanooga last week, but we're still outfitting her.  ...Wally World bit me for another $100 tonite...  Doing our best to get her on the road next week to Indiana and Ohio - we'll grab an appraisal in Indiana and run by the Air Force museum in Dayton before we head back to Huntsville.  September should take us north again, October to Arkansas, and, since we're so close to home(2), we'll need to make a swing through N.Texas.  Certainly plan to make Arcadia over New Years.

Not really concerned about the bus - 57GMC took very good care of her - but there's lots of details I need to learn.  Anyway, those will come.

Thanks, I@n for a wonderful library of knowledge, and thanks to all those who have made it so.

Now, let's see if I did the profile changes right or not...

Regards,

TxDan

Nobody has posted on this for a while, I am not a computer guy at all but the site is very user friendly, the information, if you read several of the posts from the beginning, and it will take some time. I came up with part locations, camp sites, some I have already visited, several solutions to recurring issues. Thanks again for everybody's insite, I enjoy it very much.

Hi Ian or anyone that can help,
I was wondering if there is a way to make or change the default for logging in from "forever" to 1 hour? My fingers don't always respond to that extra couple clicks and end up leaving myself logged in when I am not actually on. Not much of an issue but just don't want to appear logged in when I am out doing something else.
The site is great by the way.
