Bossnut: Tapatalk?

I@n,

First and foremost, congratulations on a successful cutover, and thank you for making this happen.  I know how much effort has gone into this and it is much appreciated.

Secondly, I am so glad you chose SMF, it's a great platform.  Now that we're here, is there any chance we can get Tapatalk?  When you get a chance, of course.  I know there's still plenty of work to do on the board as part of the cutover (and I'll be posting a bit about that in one of the other threads.)

For convenience, here's the link to the plugin:

Thanks again for all you do for the community!

Hi Sean,

Thanks very much for your kind words. High praise when dealt from you, as I cannot tell you how much I value your extensive and expert participation on this and the old board. Again and always, thank you.

You are correct about the "toys" for the site. The internet is a significantly different place now than "then", so yes, I will install Tapatalk, for sure. Again, you have observed correctly that there is still work to do here. Late this afternoon, I finally locked down the other board by moving all messages to the archives, regenerating the search function to clear out any nastiness, disabling posting (and registration) and, finally, creating so many backups that the whole world can collapse and the Archives will still be standing  LOL!!

Here, I have only to place a more active Captcha plugin, as it is evident that bots have figured out the correct sequence to get in here. I think that'll take awhile, so I am going to sort through that in spurts rather than get ulcers doing it all at one time.

The only other thing I want to do here is to learn all the loaded options so I can better manage the back end. You will see that my first order of business was to hire a guy. Buswarrior was just sitting around doing nothing one day, so I zinged him and made him The Guy. So The Guy is kinda sorta looking after the general niceness of the forum which leaves me to do some extensive learning and tweaking!

Thank you again for this message thread and your acknowledgement.

Well, now. . . with The Guy working the front end, and you working the back end, things should be fine!

Wait a minute. . . Did that come out right??   ;D

I'd better go get a Pepsi. . .

What?
Wait...
Really?

Oh dear.

Picture in your mind a certain Don Knotts character... "Now all of you will just behave as you should, and there will be no trouble!"

I don't know if this one has those features?

When I saw the pages and pages and pages and pages of adjustments, and they aren't sequential by any stretch of the imagination...

Good thing bossnut is in charge, or we'd be using a few old coffee tins and some string.

For those who don't know, Tapatalk is an application that would make the BBS easier to use from your smartphone.

More from smarter people, when it has been installed.
