THE BOARD / Kudos to Bll Gerrie« Last post by ibjj45 on February 13, 2025, 10:38:57 PM »My recent post about a GM 4905 bay door problem was cured By Bill Gerrie, a Canadian member. His response led me to the proper section and page in a GM manual that I already had on hand, but had overlooked. BUT... The offer still stands to buy/rent a torsion bar tool. It ain't gonna' be easy to fabricate one and I'm inherently lazy nowadays with limited tooling. THANKS BILL!

THE BOARD / Two Stroke Anti-Freeze« Last post by ibjj45 on January 06, 2025, 03:04:58 PM »As a reminder on two stroke only items. While researching a bay door problem I saw a reminder article in my 4905 engine manual to NOT use antifreeze with the anti-leak additive. It's like the two stroke oil thingy...tough to find. jj

THE BOARD / 4905 Bay door problem« Last post by ibjj45 on January 06, 2025, 02:55:56 PM »Happy New Year All. JJ here and after a long hiatus I'm back with a nuisance problem with my storage bays. I need someone with the dimensions and drawings for the torsion bar tool, the one for installing a door after a hinge replacement. Barring that, does anyone have a tool they will part with or rent? Mine has disappeared and I can't find the directions to build one in any of my 4905 manuals (and I have about all them!) I can't even remember the door replacement sequence and my normal helper, (my brother Ed) has passed on to that great bus garage in the sky.
I have moved to a different park (8 units) with no local help. I'm up and around now and will appreciate any advice. ...jj If you have a tool I will provide a substantial deposit to guarantee it's return 38

In times past, it would not be unusual to be out on the super slab, blasting down to Arcadia in time for the New Years busnut festivities. Think fondly of where we've been, and keep active on where you are going in 2025!! happy coaching!buswarrior |
